Samba Salsa! Aie Aie Aie!
Guest instructor Rafael Steyners is choregraphing a sexy samba salsa choreography for the Sunday Social's Anniversary on March 28th, 2010, which will mark the start of its 7th year!
Learn how to control your lower body from your upper body, how to use your hips and use very big arm styling. This is NOT BALLROOM SAMBA, it's Brazilian Samba. That also means, it's not solely about shaking your bunda! Samba has many whole body moves used in Carnaval that involve strides, poses and even uses a salsa side basic, just with more hip movement. The music -ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS- will get you moving and put you in a great mood. Find out what samba really is all about!
Time: 7-8:30pm
Location: Dovercourt House, 2nd flr
Level: Advanced mover 'n groover, (you don't have to know salsa but you need to be very comfortable with movement and coordination) or you've already done one of Rafael's performance teams. Not sure? Ask me for an assessment: info@godancemambo.com.
Cost: $260 for 12 weeks includes rehearsal space
